Hanoi (VNA) - Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim
Ngan asked the justice sector to better its emulation and commendation affairs
to ensure that patriotic emulation is truly a motive for its staff to
complete their assigned political missions.
Addressing the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the justice
sector for the 2020-2025 period, Ngan suggested justice
organisations should renew and integrate the emulation work into the implementation of
political tasks, with a focus placed on accomplishing the legal system to meet
the nation’s requirements for socio-economic development and international integration.
The Ministry of Justice
must work closely with competent ministries, sectors and the National Assembly’s agencies to improve quality and forecast capacity of bills, decrees and resolutions to be submitted to the NA and the NA Standing Committee, map out a development strategy for the justice sector, complete institutions
in service of the socialist-oriented market economy, and build a socialist law-governed state, she added.
The top legislator took
the occasion to laud the justice sector’s achievements in the past 75 years,
saying the sector has carried out uniform solutions to realising targets and
missions set at the 12th National Party Congress.
Besides working to address
overlapping regulations and remove administrative procedures that caused
troubles to both local people and businesses, the sector has played an
important role in solving international trade and investment lawsuits,
contributing to protecting national interests amidst deep international
integration, she stressed.
On behalf of Party and State leaders, the NA
Chairwoman presented a first-class Labour Order, the noble distinction of
the Party and State, to the justice sector./.
