Hanoi (VNA) – The National Assembly (NA) continued its 10th session on October 21 with the draft revised law on residence and the draft law on border defence high on the agenda.

In the morning, Hoang Thanh Tung, member of the NA Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA’s Committee for Legal Affairs, delivered a report on amendments to the draft revised law on residence.

After that, legislators discussed some debatable issues of this bill. Minister of Public Security To Lam gave explanation to clarify some related issues of deputies' concern.

In the afternoon, they scrutinised the draft law on border defence after Vo Trong Viet, member of the NA Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA’s Committee for Defence and Security, reported on revisions to the draft.

Minister of National Defence Ngo Xuan Lich also provided further details to clear lawmakers' concern.

On October 22, the parliament is set to look into a draft law amending and supplementing some articles of the law on handling administrative violations and the draft law on international agreements.

The NA’s 10th session is scheduled to last for 19 days with online meetings held from October 20 to 27 and face-to-face discussions in Hanoi from November 2 to 17./.
